The Forest Guardian is a spirit-like blue mountain lion that appears after the player completes the main quest. They watch over the land and protect the forest's balance.
History[]
Prior to the events of Cattails, the Forest Guardian peacefully watched over the colonies and colonies' territories from the Sacred Temple. They took in Coco, an abandoned pet cat, and cared for them inside the temple. The Forest Guardian vanished when the forest’s balance was broken, leading Coco to seek out a cat who could return the balance.
Personality[]
The Forest Guardian is caring and fair. They have a dignifying, mystical aura.
Custom Colony[]
After completing the main quest and restoring the balance, the player can speak to the Forest Guardian in the Temple Ruins beneath the Sacred Temple to create a custom colony. They will ask the player if they are ready to become a colony leader. If the player says yes, the Forest Guardian will grant the player a Token of Authority. The token allows the player to claim any map tile as their colony's capital (though locked tiles, including colony camps, mines, and the Sacred Temple cannot be claimed).
The Forest Guardian will appoint Coco to assist the player and offer them resources to build, decorate, and manage their colony after they have claimed a piece of land. The Forest Guardian will also help the player by reviving them in place of a doctor if the player dies before starting their colony.
